At Veault, we take your privacy and data protection very seriously. On this page, we'll explain what data we process, why we do it, and how we protect your information.
1. What data do we process?
We categorize data into three types:
1.1. Personal data during purchase and use
When you purchase Veault, we process the following data:
First name and email address (for order confirmation and any communication)
Payment details (processed via our payment provider, we do not store this ourselves)
1.2. Use of the website
When visiting our website, we collect limited analytical data, such as:
Pages visited
Time and duration of your visit
Type of device and browser
This data is anonymized and only used to technically improve our website and measure campaigns.
1.3. Data in your digital vault
Everything you fill in your personal Veault vault — like passwords, documents, reminders, or personal messages — remains completely private. This data:
Is encrypted locally on your device
Is not readable to us as a provider
Is only encryptedly sent to our servers when you store them online
Can be downloaded and kept offline at any time
We do not have access to the contents of your vault.
2. Purposes of processing
We process your data solely for:
Fulfilling the agreement (for example, delivery of your product)
Technical analysis and improvement of our website
Providing support at your request
Enabling optional analytical tracking (if you give permission for it)
3. Sharing data
We never sell your data to third parties.
We only share data with:
Reliable service providers who help us with hosting, payments, or analytics
Government authorities if we are legally required to do so
We have concluded processor agreements with all our processors that comply with the GDPR.
4. Your rights
You always have the right to:
Access the personal data we have about you
Amend or request the deletion of your data
Object to certain processing activities
Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Dutch Data Protection Authority)

5. Retention periods
Invoice and order data are stored in accordance with the legal retention obligation (7 years)
Analytical data is anonymized and removed after a maximum of 14 months
Your digital vault remains saved as long as you wish — you can download or delete it at any time
6. Security
Your vault is encrypted locally on your device with your own password
We have no access to your data (zero-knowledge)
Hosting takes place on European servers that comply with strict security standards
